Creative Writing Workshops for Kids
At Pencil Heads, we believe that all kids have a story to tell — and we’re going to help them write it!
We created Pencil Heads classes because we love to write — and because we feel that we didn’t get to do enough creative writing when we were in school. We’ve been working as writers for a long time, and we’ve learned a lot of interesting things along the way. Sometimes we wish that someone had taught us these things when we were kids — and that’s why we’ve decided to pass what we know along to young writers throughout New York City.
Pencil Heads workshops encourage kids (ages 8-11) to unleash their imaginations directly onto the blank page. Our goal is to help children improve their literacy skills and writing abilities, while building their self-esteem in the process. (But don’t tell them that — they’ll be having too much fun!)
